Some essentials
The Holy Bible
WCF’s beliefs are based upon the Bible. WCF believes that the Bible is God’s holy, inerrant, and authoritative Word, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the only infallible rule of faith in the Church.

The Holy Trinity
One true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.

Two Natures of Christ
That in the one historic person of Jesus Christ there are two natures, human and divine. Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man.

Death of Christ
The historic, real, bodily death of Christ for the forgiveness of our sins.

Resurrection of Christ
The historic, real, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day.

Salvation by Grace
Fallen humanity can only be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Necessity of Repentance
Repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.

The Coming of Christ
That Jesus Christ will come again visibly, physically and gloriously as promised .

The Bodily Resurrection of the Dead
All the dead, the righteous and unrighteous, all who ever lived and died, will be raised bodily from the dead to stand in final judgment.

The Final Judgment
God, on a day He has appointed, will judge the whole world by His Son Jesus Christ, who will come again to judge the living and the dead.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
